Time goes racing along on its appointed schedule,
And today it has been six months since you left us.
But despite the sorrow of missing you every day,
The time has passed quickly... too quickly.

The presence of your life is still very close to me.
I still expect the phone to ring and to hear your voice.
I'm still anticipating our next debate,
Something that I think you enjoyed as much as me.

As a parent, I hope that you learned from me.
And I hope that you know that I learned from you too.
I'm still learning from you.
