Rob was amazing. The energy you got just from being around him. He always had a way of making me laugh. A way of making whoever he was with feel lucky to be around him. There's one memory that I've never forgotten, even though I dated Rob so long ago. At this point, he had moved to Indiana, and was just back for the holidays. He picked me up at my house, and said let's go for a drive. We drove onto Horizon which used to be a road with desert on either side, now it's built up with houses and businesses. Funny how things change. Anyhow, he took me along this road that rarely got any traffic, and pulled out into the desert, we were looking over at Vegas's lights. It couldn't have been more beautiful. The song "From This Moment" came on by Shania Twain, and he turned it up and got out of the truck. I had no idea what he was doing, and then the door on my side of the truck opened. He asked me if I'd dance with him. We stood in the bed of the pickup truck, middle of the desert, and just danced. That was the first time I ever slow danced with anyone other than my father. Like I said... he always had a way of making people around him happy. He told me he'd never forget that moment, and I know I never did, and I doubt I ever will.
