Flames!

Rob was a nut for flames... I don't know why. Probably for the same reason that I am a nut for ham radio and computers. He also liked "tribal" designs and had a few tribal tattoos. Here are some pictures to show his obsession for these designs. You might recognize that sketches #1 and #2 look like the development of another tattoo that he had. Thanks to Steve, the tattoo artist who provided the detailed picture below. You can check out more of Steve's work on his website.

The Chinese characters in sketch #11 are a transliteration of his name, Robert. It looks like he copied the characters from a book and then drew the tribal design around them. (Look here if you are interested in finding your name in Chinese. Thanks to my friend Kwan for helping me to figure this out!)
